At Heartwarmers, we create handmade blankets, hats, scarves, and stuffed animals that are donated, at no cost, to partner non-profits across Central Oregon. These organizations use our gifts to bring warmth, comfort, and compassion to individuals and families in need. A simple blanket or scarf can transform a first encounter into a powerful gesture of care, offering immediate comfort and a tangible reminder that someone truly cares.
Infant Blanket Kit
Our Infant Blanket Kit is a special bundle created to comfort new parents. Each kit includes a cozy blanket, a soft burp cloth, a sweet infant knit cap, gentle soap, and more. Everything needed to wrap a baby in care and love.
Adult & Children's Blankets
Embrace warmth and comfort with our Adult and Children's blankets. Two layers of premium fleece are carefully hand-cut and tied by our dedicated volunteers, adding a personal touch to every piece. Explore a range of colors and patterns thoughtfully selected for men, women and children. The perfect combination of size, quality and care with our blankets!
Walker Bags & Lap Robes
Our handmade Walker Bags and Lap Robes are designed with seniors in mind, providing comfort, independence, and everyday convenience. These thoughtful items offer practical solutions for those navigating mobility challenges or spending extended time seated. The elegant Walker Bag attaches securely, keeping personal essentials within easy reach. The coordinating Lap Robe provides warmth and comfort while seated, helping seniors stay cozy at home or during outings. Crafted from high-quality materials and available in designs suited for both men and women, these gifts blend functionality with style.
Take and Make
Our Take & Make gifts are lovingly crafted by volunteers who prefer to create from the comfort of their homes. This program provides a flexible way for some volunteers, especially seniors, those with limited mobility, or anyone who enjoys quiet, purposeful work, to stay connected and contribute meaningfully to our mission. These projects are perfect for busy hands and creative hearts. Each volunteer chooses items that match their skills and interests, producing many of our most unique and cherished gifts such as custom teddy bears, beautifully crocheted scarves, and other handmade treasures.
Community Workshops
Heartwarmers has over 100 volunteers supporting the communities of Bend, Redmond and Sisters. We approach each community by recruiting local volunteers and establishing a workshop location where gifts are created. A typical volunteer is someone committed to participating in regular workshops, often with an interest or skill in sewing, knitting, or working with fabrics.

No experience needed, all supplies provided. Everything is supplied at our workshops. Bring your own scissors, if you would like, but all you really need is a smile! The workshops are fun and filled with chatter and laughter, so don't be surprised if you make some new friends, too!
